Communications

A key differentiator in Quantum Advisory’s service is our commitment to raising levels of understanding and appreciation by developing engaging member communications. We will work with you to understand your audience’s level of knowledge and their requirements so we can develop materials to suit their specific needs.

Face-to-face member communication

Face-to-face communication is a powerful tool when communicating with your members. As well as written and online communications, we can offer individual member surgeries to discuss your members’ options, and increase your members’ appreciation of the employer’s contributions. These will help to take away the ‘pensions panic’ by informing members how best to plan for the future.

To help understanding we often use modelling tools to show the level of expected benefits at retirement, the impact of State benefits and illustrate any need for additional savings. By showing the effect of different investment returns we can also expand on any investment options available and the risk factors that need to be considered.

Benefits of face-to-face communication:

  • Increase members’ appreciation of the employer’s contributions
  • Provide illustrations of the benefits of increasing contributions
  • Discuss options at retirement
  • Remove the ‘pensions panic’ by informing the member how to plan for the future

Online tools

  • Member-specific online booklet that is both scheme and member specific, which includes details of current fund value, fund choice etc.
  • Modelling tools to enable the member to undertake a range of ‘what if’ tests.
  • Online links to the administration team so members can easily notify fund switch requests, changes of address etc.

Written communication

Our objective is to create communications that go beyond simply meeting legal requirements. Often this means developing more frequent communication with less content. This helps to deliver simple positive messages that raise awareness and understanding of the benefits provided.

Where more detailed information is required, the emphasis is on ensuring that information provided is in a form and language that the member will be comfortable with.
